Life Support (a poem) By Caramel Vixen

Life Support

I know she’s tired of taking all those pills a day.

Everyday. But She’s on life support.

Yeah, you gave her life, but, you also took life from her.

You gave this beautiful sista HIV, at the same time you gave her a beautiful babygirl.

She said, “Boo, I’m pregnant”

Your arrogant ass had the nerve to tell her “congratulations, when is you & your man’s baby due.”

Knowing good & well, that she was a young virgin when you met her.

She looks up at you, tears running down her face, she says, “I’m also HIV positive, carrying your baby. You promised me that my first time would be special, but damn, I never thought that my first time would also be my death sentence.

But thanks to you, I’m on Life support!”

All In Her Mind (excerpt) by Caramel Vixen

“He’s gone Erin. I was there when you shot him. You shot him, just so we could be together.” Rayne smirked, feeling as if she had just won the million dollar lottery.

“So it was you! You broke into my house. I wasn’t trying to kill my father, I was trying to get rid of you!” Erin ran to the door and began banging on it. “Get me out of here! I’m innocent. She’s the one who’s the real murderer.”

Rayne quietly came up behind Erin, wanting to comfort her. “Erin, you’re not in prison. You’re in an asylum. Just hours after your dad died, you went crazy and they authorities committed you here, and I plead insanity, just so I could be here with you. I love you.”

Erin turned around with a pure look of hatred on her face and slapped Rayne, in the face repeatedly. Finally, Rayne grabbed Erin’s wrists and kissed her passionately. “I love you, Erin. I’m sorry your Dad is gone, I can’t bring him back, but, I can love you.”

With tears streaming down her face, Erin screamed. Years of pent up anger, pain, confusion and frustration came crashing down on her all at once. Rayne grabbed Erin and kissed her full lips over, and over again, trying to kiss the hurt and pain away. Erin returned her calculating lover’s kisses, and then her body went limp in Rayne’s arms. Erin’s breathing had stopped and Rayne knew that Erin was gone. Rayne kissed and touched her deceased lover once more, laid her down on her cot and returned to her side of the cell.

Rayne wasn’t completely cold and heartless. Or was she?

Precious – the movie

It is finally re-releasing in more theaters…I’m hoping that it comes to my town…if not, I’ll be really pissed…again!

I have heard such rave reviews for Precious, and it’s rising star, Gabby Sibre, 25, (yeah, wow, I had no clue that she and I are the same age) . The latest buzz is that Mary J. Blige recorded a hot song just to fit Precious

http://blogs.amctv.com/movie-news/2009/11/mary-j-blige-precious.php

Many congratulations go out to Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry, Mo’Nique, Oprah an everyone else who participated in the films making…

God Bless,

Divine Design – a poem by Caramel Vixen

Divine Design

You were created, just for me… by divine design.

To love, hold, kiss, and caress.

To release all inhibitions and completely let go with.

By divine design, you were made for me to make blissful love to.

Thoughts of you turn me out, but, I believe that too, is by divine design.

I close my eyes and imagine myself feeling you up and down, fully admiring your…

Divine design.

What do you want readers to take away from your book?
I want readers to not only grasp or expand on their sexual imagination, but to embrace self love and size acceptance.

Are you a believer in outlines, or do you write spontaneously?
For me, it’s weird because I normally use outlines, but at times I will put the outlines to the side and write completely off the top of my head. So I guess I do both.

What do you think it is about your book that will keep readers turning the pages?
I think that Office Affairs, will keep readers turning the pages to find out what the main character, Allysia does next. Also, my secondary female character, LaDonna, will keep them in stitches, with her comedic innocence.

How can readers learn more and get in contact with you?
